Jun 11, 2010 SolidWorks Satisfaction Survey email invitation

SolidWorks has again commissioned an independent marketing firm to conduct a customer satisfaction survey. As a result, you may receive an email from solidworks@nri-support.com inviting you to participate.

This is a legitimate invitation and is not spam. We encourage you to take the opportunity to provide feedback and participate in the survey. As a valued customer your opinions and experiences are extremely important to help SolidWorks continue to improve your productivity and efficiencies utilizing the SolidWorks software suite. You will not be contacted as a result of this survey for any sales purposes.

It is expected to take just 10 to 15 minutes and we look forward to your feedback. Participants who complete the survey may be eligible to win a Dell mobile workstation or one of five passes to SolidWorks World 2011.

May 23, 2010 Going from Concept to Final Design

SolidWorks is currently researching the topic “Going from SolidWorks conceptual model to final production model.” We understand that many users create their SolidWorks model/s differently depending on what part of the design phase they are in. In other words, SolidWorks designers will often create a conceptual model knowing that, eventually when they get to creating a final production model, quite a lot of the their model features will be deleted and recreated or the entire conceptual model will be throw away.

Taking this brief survey (along with many other sources of information) will provide for us a better understanding of your needs.

May 05, 2010 SolidWorks 2010 Service Pack downloads

On Tuesday May 4th 2010 all SolidWorks 2010 service packs were temporarily removed from the customer portal. Later today, May 5th 2010, Service Pack 3 of SolidWorks 2010 will be put back in place for customer access.  The problem was internal in nature and not due to a software defect.  Anyone who has already obtained SolidWorks 2010 SP3, or earlier 2010 Service Packs, can continue using them without any cause for concern.

We will be post an update when Service Pack 3 is in place.
